Schedule: Full-time (8:00am-5:00pm), part-time options considered for the right candidate

Join a thriving, patient-focused dental practice in Elizabethton, TN, as an Associate Dentist. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate dentist to deliver comprehensive oral healthcare in a collaborative and modern environment. This is an opportunity to build lasting patient relationships while practicing in a state-of-the-art facility with advanced dental technology.
With a patient volume of 118 new patients per month, you’ll have a consistent and rewarding patient base.
Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of dental conditions using clinical exams, diagnostic imaging, and patient history
  • Provide preventive, restorative, and minor surgical dental care
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs and goals
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental practice management software
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, sterilization standards, and infection control guidelines
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment options
  • Collaborate with team members, including hygienists and specialists, to optimize patient outcomes
  • Participate in continuing education to stay current on dental techniques and advancements

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental program
  • Active Tennessee state dental license
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience or completion of residency (new grads considered if exceptional)
  • Strong competency in restorative dentistry, periodontal therapy, endodontics, and basic oral surgery
  • Excellent communication and patient management skills
  • Commitment to high-quality, detail-oriented care

Compensation & Benefits

  • Associate production-based compensation: 35% of adjusted production (range 30-40% based on experience/performance)
    • Average first-year dentist: $200,000
    • Average second-year dentist: $250,000
    • Year three and beyond: $350,000+ (average full-time salary at Martin Dentistry: $375,000)
  • Sign-on bonus: Up to $25,000
  • Health insurance: Company-sponsored, up to $500/month premium contribution
  • Vision insurance: Fully paid by company
  • Continuing education stipend: $6,000/year (many CE opportunities at no cost)
  • 401k plan: 4% company match after one year
  • Malpractice insurance: Paid by company

  • Potential for higher compensation for specialists in endodontics or oral surgery
