Controller
Our client located in Scottsdale, AZ is adding a Controller to their team. This is not a Corporate Controller position, this is a hands-on finance leader responsible for overseeing multi-entity accounting operations within a complex, high-growth healthcare organization. Direct hire, onsite opportunity.

Controller Role:
This role is designed for a builder-type Controller who will strengthen systems, elevate team performance, and scale the accounting function in alignment with rapid expansion across multiple business divisions.
This is not a maintenance accounting role. The expectation is to actively improve infrastructure, implement systems, and lead a growing accounting team across a multi-division healthcare platform.
Accounting Leadership & Team Management
Lead and develop accounting team (AP, AR, staff accountants)
Hire and expand team by 2-3 headcount within 12 months
Manage Accounting Manager and Assistant Accounting Manager
Build scalable structure aligned with organizational growth
Financial Reporting & Close
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
Ensure accuracy of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Maintain GAAP compliance across all entities
Multi-Entity Financial Operations
Oversee accounting across multiple business divisions:
Infusion services
Pharma / compounding pharmacy
Surgical / interventional services
Emerging ventures (telehealth, genetics lab, construction)
Systems & Process Improvement
Lead ERP and accounting system improvements (Dynamics 365, QuickBooks)
Drive transition and optimization of accounting systems
Improve automation, reporting visibility, and data integration
Cash Flow, Compliance & Controls
Manage multi-entity cash flow and forecasting
Ensure ASC 606 and ASC 842 compliance
Oversee audits, leases, and regulatory requirements

Controller Background Profile:
7-10+ years accounting experience, with leadership responsibility
CPA preferred (Bachelor’s required)
Experience managing $30M-$150M revenue environments
Multi-entity healthcare or complex operating structure required
Strong systems exposure (ERP implementation or migration experience required)
ASC 606 + ASC 842 experience required
Proven experience building or improving accounting departments (not maintenance-only backgrounds)
Strong leadership presence and communication skills
Experience managing accounting teams (5+ direct/indirect reports preferred)
